Job Description:

The SQA specialist will be responsible for establishing test strategies, will work closely with the software and FPGA developers following the Agile (Scrum) methodology, will contribute in adding new test cases to the existing automated tests coverage, will execute some test cases manually and will report any defect found during the execution of various test cases on software and hardware prototypes.

Responsibilities:

More concretely, the SQA specialist will develop test programs using the Python programming language in an Eclipse development environment running in Linux (UBuntu). The SQA specialist will also have the option to participate in the evolution of the automated test management infrastructure and will consequently be called on to work with programming languages such as Python, C, bash and WEB (Apache, HTML, etc.), tools for continuous integration (Hudson) and database (PostgreSQL) technologies.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of and keen interest in LAN and WAN communications technologies (Ethernet, VLAN, ARP, IP, UDP, TCP, etc.)
• Programming experience in one of the following language: Python, Perl, C/C++, TCL
• Ability to quickly synthesize the systems to be tested, attention to details
• Open minded person and resourceful in order to increase the products high quality standards
• Strong team player with a “do what it takes” attitude
• Can easily share ideas in a written or spoken fashion
• Ability to communicate in French and English
• Bachelor degree in Electrical engineering, Computer science or any other relevant Bachelor program
• Familiar with LINUX and the development of "Open Source" applications Basic knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL)
• Familiar with protocol analyzers such as Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.
• Basic knowledge of continuous integration tools (Hudson)
• Basic knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL)
• Basic knowledge of the Agile (SCRUM) development methodology
• Familiar with network traffic generators such as products from Ixia, Spirent, JDSU, EXFO, VeEX, etc.
• Basic knowledge of features or applications like the « Ethernet and IP Service Demarcation », « Layer 1-4 Intelligent loopback », « In-Service Throughput Testing », « Automated RFC-2544 Test Suite », « Ethernet Service Mapping », « Bandwith Policing », « Traffic Filtering », « Traffic Shapping », « Aggregation », etc…
