Job Description:

Responsibilities will be the Design, Execution and Automation of system-level verification tests for our family of carrier-grade Element Management System (EMS) solutions: Vision EMS^™, Vision ACT^™ and other features related to Accedian’s EMS product line.

Responsibilities:

The work will require the ability to design and setup complex test topologies and troubleshoot complex issues. The selected candidate will file software defects with pertinent information, work with software developers toward effective resolution, and verify the fixes when available following the Agile (Scrum) methodology.

The appropriate candidate will ensure excellent quality levels for Accedian’s products through the definition of an end-to-end test strategy. The selected candidate may also play a major role in defining the technological automation requirements.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Experience in testing EMS/NMS for network elements.
• Experience in Network Management/Element Management Products (understanding of FCAPS, SNMP) and areas such as CLI, NMS Northbound Interfaces.
• Experience with Linux/Solaris.
• Computer Science University degree or a related field experience.
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Experience in integration of complex and distributed systems, high availability and load balancing architectures.
• Familiar with J2EE testing platform and RDBMS or SQL databases.
• Expertise in Performance/Diagnostic/Test Automation tools is a plus.
• Good in L2/ L3 concepts with experience in testing EMS on L2/L3 devices.
• Experience with Oracle would be an added advantage.
• Automation skills using Python would be an added advantage.
