Job Description:
With the coaching and support of an experienced individual, the student's main responsibility will be to ensure the evolution of select modules and to design and implement new functionalities for EtherNID, MetroNID and MetroNode products. More concretely, in a Linux development and work environment (UBuntu), the student will develop C and C++ modules that operate on an embedded Linux platform.
Responsibilities:
The modules to evolve and develop include:
- Hardware configuration and management
- Statistic management and calculation
- Network test function (traffic generation, delay measurement, etc.)
- User interface (CLI, WEB, SNMP)
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Experience in C and C++ programming
- Experience with UML notation
- Familiar with LINUX and the development of "Open Source" applications
- Basic knowledge of and keen interest in all LAN communications technologies (MAC, VLAN, ARP, IP, UDP, TCP, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of WEB technologies (Appache, HTTP, HTML, XML)
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or any other relevant bachelor program
- Bilingual (French and English)
