Job Description:

The embedded software engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing software code to support functional testing of units during the manufacturing process. During the New Product Introduction phase, the embedded software engineer will be working closely with the test engineering primes to ensure products being introduced are tested with optimal test coverage. The embedded software engineer is also responsible for supporting and maintaining the test software database and architecture as well as identifying improvements to processes that could be implemented.

Responsibilities:

• Develop required test software to support product functional testing
• Embedded programming in C/C++, assembly and other languages
• Able to determinate test equipment to be use in test sequence
• Able to define test sequence and algorithm
• Support manufacturing, including Contract Manufacturers using our test software

• Degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or cegep with experience is required
• Minimum of 1 years experience (or relevant experience)
• Linux
• C/C++ programming
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP/UDP...)
• Familiar with electronical schematics
• Familiar with digital and analog electronics design
• Team player capable to interact efficiently within multiple teams
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving
• “Can-Do” attitude to overcome any kind of challenges
